Below are the show notes from the episode and highlights that Alyestal shares based on her own life experiences and lived moments as herself.

Alyestal’s “Why”

My why is to exist in the fullness of my power so that I can be a reflection of who I am and what I need to be for others. Whether that’s by actively engage with them through a workshop, art, mentorship, or community engagement – however people encounter me – it’s supposed to encourage, empower, and inspire to be who and what they are meant to be.

Four Awe-IMPORTANT Moments

  • “Who you are, as you were created is a powerful thing. And that makes you power. Not you possessing power, not you controlling power, but you as an individual exist as BEING power. And in your power, you are a walking revolution.” [2:58]
  • Go beyond learning, apply it. It doesn’t have to be applied in the way that it was taught to you. [15:08]
  • Everyone is creative, just in different ways and in different capacities. [24:45]
  • How Alyestal believes that the landscape for creating art has changed and evolved. [30:30]
